About Hydrogen Peroxide 120ml
Hydrogen Peroxide 120ml is a mild antiseptic solution used for ear wax softening and diluted oral rinse hygiene.
Uses
- Softens hardened ear wax so it can drain or be removed more easily
- Used as a well diluted mouth rinse for short term oral hygiene support
- Helps freshen breath when used occasionally as a diluted gargle
- Used as a mild antiseptic on unbroken skin for minor external cleansing
- Supports hygiene around minor mouth ulcers when used as a short diluted rinse
What Experts Say
Pharmacists in Pakistan often recommend hydrogen peroxide solution for one specific reason, softening ear wax before it drains out on its own or is removed by a doctor. A few drops in the ear canal cause a gentle fizzing action that breaks up hardened wax, which is why it remains a common home remedy.
Dentists still see a role for very dilute hydrogen peroxide as an occasional mouth rinse, mainly for short term hygiene support or mild gum irritation, as long as it is spit out and never swallowed. It is not meant to replace regular brushing or a dentist visit for ongoing mouth problems.
Where opinion has shifted is wound care. Many doctors no longer suggest hydrogen peroxide for cleaning open cuts or wounds, since it can irritate healthy tissue and slow down healing. Clean water or saline is now the preferred first choice for washing an everyday wound.
