What Experts Say
Doctors across Pakistan often recommend ibuprofen as a first choice for short term pain and fever because it works by blocking prostaglandin production, the chemicals responsible for pain, swelling and high temperature. This makes it effective for everyday complaints like headache, body ache and mild joint pain.
Physicians also caution that ibuprofen is meant for short term use at the lowest effective dose. Taking it with food reduces stomach irritation, and people with heart, kidney or stomach conditions are usually advised to check with a doctor before regular use.
