Loprin Tablet Uses

Loprin is aspirin that belongs to a group of painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs. It works by stopping the release of chemical mediators that cause pain, thrombosis, and inflammation. The main chemical component of Loprin is aspirin, also known as acetylsalicylic acid. Loprin is mainly used to treat inflammation, pain, and fever. It also acts as an antiplatelet agent by inhibiting the clumping of platelets that cause blockage of the blood vessels. Therefore it is given prophylactically, and long-term as prevention of heart attacks and stroke as well.

Otherwise, taking analgesics during pregnancy, especially during the second and third trimester, can be injurious to your baby's health. Do not leave it without the permission of your healthcare provider.

2. Breastfeeding

Mothers who are breastfeeding their child should take Loprin only on the advice of their healthcare provider as some of its concentration can be present in breast milk and affect your child's health.

3. Allergic to Aspirin

If you are allergic to Aspirin, do not take Loprin or any other medicine with the same generic name, as it can result in a life-threatening condition called anaphylactic shock. Anaphylactic shock is a rare but severe allergic reaction which if not treated at the right time can be life-threatening.

It shows the signs and symptoms such as hives, pale skin, labored breathing, itching, excessive salivation, feeling too warm, a weak and rapid pulse, nausea, vomiting, runny nose, sneezing, swollen lips and tongue, wheezing, dizziness, low blood pressure, and tingling hands, feet, mouth, or scalp.

4. Skin reaction

If you ever have had a skin reaction known as Steven Johnson syndrome upon Loprin intake, do not take it next time. Tell your healthcare provider your complete medical history.

5. Glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
