How to use Lorgy Tablet 10mg?
- Swallow the tablet whole with water
- Take with or without food
- Use once daily for ongoing allergy or hives control
- Do not double the dose if a dose is missed
Contraindications
- Not recommended for patients with known hypersensitivity to loratadine
- Avoid in patients with severe liver impairment without medical supervision
- Not suitable for children under 2 years of age
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use this tablet only if the physician advises it
Drug Interactions
- Ketoconazole, erythromycin or cimetidine: these medicines can raise loratadine levels in the blood
- Amiodarone: may increase loratadine levels and the risk of side effects
Risks and warnings
- Chronic hives lasting more than 6 weeks: should be evaluated by a physician alongside using this tablet
- Liver disease: may require a lower dose or less frequent dosing
- Driving or operating machinery: usually unaffected, but stop if you notice drowsiness
