How to use Lucid Tablet 500mg?

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water
• Complete the full prescribed course even if you feel better
• Separate from dairy products, antacids and mineral supplements by 2 to 6 hours
• Do not crush or chew the tablet

Contraindications

• Should not be taken by patients with a known allergy to ciprofloxacin or other fluoroquinolones
• Contraindicated together with tizanidine
• Not suitable for patients with a history of myasthenia gravis
• Avoid in patients with a prior tendon disorder linked to a fluoroquinolone antibiotic

Drug Interactions

• Dairy products and antacids: reduce how well this medicine is absorbed if taken together
• Warfarin: may enhance warfarin's blood-thinning effect
• Theophylline: levels may rise with concurrent use, increasing side-effect risk

Risks and warnings

• Tendon problems: stop use and rest the joint for pain, swelling or a snapping sensation, often in the Achilles tendon
• Nervous system effects: seek care for numbness, tingling, confusion or mood changes
• Diabetes: blood sugar can rise or fall unusually, monitor levels closely
• Sun exposure: use sun protection, since this medicine can increase sun sensitivity
