How to use Proflox Tablet 500mg?

• Proflox tablet can be taken with or without food
• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water
• Avoid dairy products and antacids near the time of your dose
• Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve early

Contraindications

• Avoid in patients with a known allergy to ciprofloxacin or other fluoroquinolones
• Those with a history of tendon problems should not use this tablet
• Not recommended for patients with myasthenia gravis
• Should not be taken by pregnant or breastfeeding women unless clearly needed

Drug Interactions

• Antacids and mineral supplements: these reduce absorption of this tablet, so space doses apart
• Warfarin: combined use can increase the risk of bleeding
• Theophylline: this tablet can raise theophylline levels and increase toxicity risk
• Corticosteroids: combined use raises the risk of tendon rupture
