Macnaz Oral Gel is a miconazole antifungal gel used to treat oral thrush and fungal infections of the mouth.

How to use Macnaz Oral Gel?
- Apply a small amount with a clean fingertip to the affected areas of the mouth
- Keep the gel in contact with the area for as long as possible before swallowing
- Avoid eating or drinking for about 30 minutes after applying
- Denture wearers should also apply a small amount to the denture fitting surface
Contraindications
- Not suitable for patients with a known allergy to miconazole or other azole antifungals
- Avoid in infants without medical supervision
- Not intended for use in the eyes, ears or nose
- Use cautiously in patients with significant liver impairment
Drug Interactions
- Warfarin: even this oral gel can significantly raise warfarin levels and the bleeding risk, so this combination needs close monitoring
Risks and warnings
- Warfarin users: tell your doctor, since this gel can significantly increase bleeding risk even at normal doses
- Liver disease: use this gel cautiously if you have existing liver problems
- For oral use only: avoid contact with the eyes and do not use this gel on the skin
- Allergic reaction: stop use and seek medical care if swelling, rash or breathing difficulty develops
