How to use Nicoril Tablet 10mg?
- Take Nicoril Tablet 10mg exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
- Take it at the same times each day, usually twice daily.
- Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, since it works to prevent angina attacks.
- Do not stop the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.
- If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember unless it is close to the next dose.
Drug Interactions
- PDE5 inhibitors: Sildenafil, tadalafil, and vardenafil must not be combined with Nicoril, as this can cause severe, life threatening hypotension.
- Other antihypertensive drugs: Beta blockers, calcium channel blockers, and ACE inhibitors can add to the blood pressure lowering effect and increase dizziness risk.
- Other nitrates: Combining with nitrate based medicines can intensify blood pressure drops and headache.
- Dantrolene: Concurrent use with dantrolene infusion has been linked to cardiovascular collapse in some reports and should be avoided.
- Alcohol: Alcohol can worsen the blood pressure lowering and dizziness effects of Nicoril.

- Ulceration risk: Long term use of nicorandil can cause ulcers of the skin, mouth, eyes, gut and anal region, which may be severe and slow to heal.
