How to use Nutrifactor Folic Acid Tablet 400mcg?
- Swallow the tablet whole with water
- Do not chew the tablet
- Take at the same time each day
- Continue for the duration advised by your doctor
Contraindications
- Not suitable for patients with a known allergy to folic acid or tablet ingredients
- Not suitable as the sole treatment for anemia without a confirmed folate deficiency diagnosis
- Not suitable for patients with untreated Vitamin B12 deficiency without medical supervision
- Not suitable for patients on anticonvulsant therapy without their doctor's oversight
Drug Interactions
- Methotrexate: folic acid can reduce methotrexate's effectiveness; use together only under medical supervision
- Phenytoin and other anticonvulsants: folic acid can lower blood levels of these medicines and affect seizure control
- Metformin and sulfasalazine: may reduce absorption of folic acid; consult your doctor if taking these together
