What Experts Say
Doctors across Pakistan often recommend paracetamol as a first line option for fever and mild pain because it works by calming pain and temperature signals in the brain without significantly irritating the stomach lining. This makes it a safer choice than NSAIDs for people with acid reflux or a history of ulcers.
Physicians also stress that its safety depends entirely on staying within the recommended dose. The real danger with paracetamol usually comes not from a single dose but from repeated overdosing or from combining several paracetamol containing products at once, which can silently damage the liver before any symptoms appear.
