- Rosuvastatin Calcium 20mg
How to use Qazzo tablet 20mg?
- Take once daily, with or without food.
- Swallow the tablet whole with water.
- Take at the same time each day for best results.
- Continue a low-fat diet and regular exercise alongside treatment.
- Do not stop the medicine without consulting your doctor.
Drug Interactions
Qazzo can interact with several medicines that raise the risk of side effects.
- Other Cholesterol Medicines: Combining with fibrates increases the risk of muscle damage.
- Blood Thinners: Can increase the effect of warfarin, raising bleeding risk.
- Antacids: Aluminum and magnesium antacids can reduce Rosuvastatin absorption if taken together.
- Cyclosporine: Significantly raises Rosuvastatin blood levels, increasing side effect risk.
Risks and warnings
- Muscle Pain: Can cause muscle aches or, rarely, serious muscle breakdown.
- Liver Function: May raise liver enzymes, so periodic liver tests are recommended.
- Kidney Disease: Needs dose adjustment in patients with kidney impairment.
