• Swallow the capsule whole with water
• Stand up slowly after taking a dose to avoid dizziness
• Do not stop or change the dose without asking your doctor

Drug Interactions

• Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors such as ketoconazole and clarithromycin: Can raise silodosin levels sharply and should not be combined.
• Other alpha blockers: Combined use increases the risk of low blood pressure.
• Sildenafil or tadalafil: May add to blood pressure lowering and dizziness.
• Blood pressure medicines: Can add to blood pressure lowering, so monitoring may be needed.

Risks and warnings

• Low blood pressure: May cause dizziness or fainting. Take care when driving or standing quickly.
• Cataract surgery: Tell your eye surgeon before surgery, as it can cause floppy iris syndrome.
