Treviamet Tablet Uses

Treviamet is an anti-diabetic medication used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, sometimes along with other anti-diabetic medications. It helps lower blood glucose levels and improves glycemic control. Treviamet is a combination of sitagliptin and metformin. It is often given when metformin is not effective on its own.

Sitagliptin belongs to the class of drugs known as dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors, while Metformin belongs to the biguanides class of medicines, used to lower blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes patients.

The combination of sitagliptin and metformin, along with doctor-approved diet and exercise can be effective in lowering blood glucose levels, which is of utmost importance in the management of diabetes.
