Concieve with Diabetes

If someone wanna conceive with diabetes type 1 Already on insulin Doctor also prescribe glucophage12 day of cycle follicle egg size 19 mm 21mm Endometrium thickness 4.1 My question is I can i take glucophage with insulin is it my sugar level become low?

Dear Patient,

It is likely that it would but slowly your insulin dose can be decreased and even stopped if that happens. Glucophage not just maintains sugar levels but also improves fertility a lot in cases like yours. You can keep a glucometer at home and assess your glucose 30mins after taking glucophage. If the values are in normal range you can visit your diabetologist and ask him whether its now safe to stop the insulin or lower its dose .
