Cough & runny nose

I have a cough and runny nose for the last ten days. I consulted a general physician, he prescribed Rulid tablet, larinex tablet, lucast tablet, and Reltus C&F syrup. I cough alot especially after eating or drinking something or when my Adam's apple feels itchy otherwise its ok. What should I do? Should I consult an ENT specialist?
