Distal Radius malunion

I was in an accident and fractured a bone. Now I am diagnosed with distal radius malunion and the doc is suggesting surgery. I am here to get a second opinion as whether it is necessary to go for surgery or not for distal radius malunion. Advice, please.

What this means is that the lower end of your bone isn't aligned well anymore. This cannot be settled on its own and hence needs to be aligned through some procedure.
