Extraction of 3rd upper left molar

My 3rd upper left molar was extracted around 26hrs ago but still it's bleeding. I have put a ball of cotton over that area and change it every 1-2 hours (except 6 hours of sleep at night). Every time I change the cotton, it’s fully soaked in blood. There is blood all over my tongue which gives a very bad taste. I feel like a small blood clot has also been removed when I removed the cotton last time. Any urgent medication to stop this bleeding?

Dear Patient,

In case of extraction, avoid touching the area with tongue, finger.
Let the first piece of cotton placed by the dentist, be kept for 2-3hrs. After that consume only cold/room temperature liquid diet for the first 12-16 hrs.
Although it may seem alarming to see so much blood, you just have to ignore it, the bleeding stops within the first 24hrs and Medication aren't necessary. You should do only warm gargles with salt starting the next day. Avoid using straw and drink in small gulps, slowly.
