My son has the eye problem. Some say it’s due to allergy but now he has an eye infection in corner from one year. Doctors say it’s due to tear duck blockage and they have given medicines. I want to know tear blockage treatment that in which age the operation can be done and what is test that confirms the blockage?

Dear Patient,

You can try placing a warm wet clean washcloth on the child's eye a few times a day to help the fluid inside the duct drain out. It is also sometimes helpful to massage gently between the child's eye and nose with a clean finger. This can help to drain fluid and also open the closed part of the nasolacrimal duct.
