GERD with low B.P

Asked for Male, 38 years

I was recently diagnosed with G.E.R.D and diffuse esophageal spasm after having an x-ray, barium swallow, schazki ring removal and balloon stent, endoscopy.. I am now on medication for the esophageal spasms that lower my blood pressure but my blood pressure is low genetically. Sometimes I get very dizzy and I don’t feel comfortable driving. after talking to my gastroenterologist, it seems that it may never get any better. What to do? Help please?

Dear Patient,

It is actually better to suffer from low bp than high if you have Gerd cause GERD usually triggers high bp! But At this stage, it is possibly a good idea to adjust your diet to help your BP stay normal. Is it possible for you to have a boiled egg in breakfast? Take bananas and a little more salt than usual in your meals. See if it helps.
