Pain due to root canal

My mother had root canal yesterday of her upper 5th and 6th teeth, now it is really painful for her since yesterday even swelling is still there. The root canal is done of both teeth with a gap of one day now the pain is really severe Dr prescribed no antibiotic What can be the reason?

I'm sorry to hear that. Kindly give her tablet augmentin 1g once in the morning, once at night for a week. Also, give her tablet brufen 400mg for pain relief 1 tablet thrice a day.
