Pain in Eye

Asa. My daughter is age 7 years. She finds it difficult to open her eyes after she wakes up and it is slightly red too. She also feels the pain in her eye which slowly goes away. What can be the reason?

Dear Patient,

How long has this been happening since? Does she have any redness along with it? She may be having some underlying eye infection. Why don't you show her to an eye specialist? Every morning before opening her eyes wash them with distilled water and clean cotton. You can clean it thrice a day like this if the eyes seem sticky.
