Post Heart Attack problems

I posted last week about my husband’s 2nd heart attack followed by VF during his angiogram. His heart had to be shocked to restart. 9 days after the heart attack, my husband suddenly experienced pounding heart and elevated blood pressure. He was feeling faint along with chest tightness. At one point he started seeing black spots so he immediately took nitro pills. . My question is - was this most likely a heart attack that the nitro stopped or was this ventricular tachycardia?

I'm so so sorry to hear this. Sounds really stressful and painful for him and his whole family. We wish him a speedy recovery.

As much as we would like to help you we are not at discretion to say which of the two it was without being able to refer to all his reports esp an ECG. The ECG pattern can help decide which of the two it was. If you have an ECG kindly send us a clear photo or refer to a cardiologist with it.

Nitro is supposed to relieve spasm of blood vessels and help blood flow easily to the heart so that it may sustain its normal function.
