Reddish Eyes

I wear glasses and my number is -1.75 for both eyes. Now, whenever I use laptop consistently for a few hours, my left eye becomes reddish and I feel pain. I am a computer science student and I have to do my research work all the day. Therefore, I can’t stop using laptop. Furthermore, is it harmful for my eyesight? And can I use any eye drops that can help in reducing the pain?
