Sore throat

For a month I am having a raw, scratchy, burning feeling at the back of your throat. Also mucus in throat. I do get a sore throat in winter which goes away by taking strepsils. But this is the first time that it is for this long. Is it serious enough to visit a costly specialist or should I just visit GP?

You can visit a GP for this if gargling with warm water and salt isn't helping and if taking a steam with cloves isn't giving you relief.
Avoid cold, sour and fried foods.
