Stomach Pain

It started to pain on the right side of my stomach tonight when I was sleeping. Pain increased with breathing and eventually disapeared in the morning.. What was it? Why did it happen? Why was pain increasing while breathing?

Dear Patient,

When we breathe, our chest and abdominal muscles move to accomodate the air movement inside/outside. If any of our muscles hurt due to a spasm/stretch etc, the pain increases when we breathe and the muscle stretches. I hope this makes sense. This isn't alarming or worrisome. Apply Voltral gel and warm towel compressions (with a gap of 30mins) if it hurts again, it will go away itself and can be ignored if bearable.
