My husband was suffering from constant pain in his liver 3 years ago. We ran an ultrasound and it was reported that he’s diagnosed with fatty liver problem. He didn’t want to see a doctor after that. Now, since a few days he’s going through the same pain and his stomach stays bloated half of the time. Along with that he stays tired the entire day. Kindly, let me know if this all is because of the fatty liver problem? What treatments can we avail? How dangerous is it?

It is dangerous to know of a disease and not seek treatment. Fatty liver disease is a common problem and there are ways to reverse early fatty liver disease and to reduce the risk, but there is no proven cure. Once a patient is diagnosed with fatty liver disease, lifestyle changes are in order to try to reverse the disease and keep it from progressing to cirrhosis.

Kindly meet with a hepatologist at the earliest!
