How to use Lexotanil Tablet 3mg?

• Lexotanil may be taken with or without food.
• The tablet should be swallowed whole with a full glass of water.
• Alcohol must be completely avoided throughout the entire course of treatment.
• This medicine must not be stopped suddenly. The dose should always be reduced gradually under doctor supervision to avoid withdrawal symptoms.
• The standard adult dose for anxiety is 1.5mg to 3mg two to three times daily. The maximum daily dose is 6mg. The lowest effective dose should always be used.
• The dose should not be increased or the treatment extended beyond 4 weeks without explicit medical advice.

Lexotanil interacts with several medicines and substances. All current medicines, supplements, and herbal products must be disclosed to the prescribing doctor before starting Lexotanil. Key interactions include:

• Alcohol: combining alcohol with Bromazepam causes dangerous additive CNS depression, which can result in severe sedation, respiratory depression, coma, and death. Alcohol is strictly contraindicated during treatment.
