Canine teeth, also known as cuspids, dog teeth, fangs are relatively long, pointed teeth. Often the largest and pointiest teeth in mammals, they are used for holding food to tear it apart and for biting. Most mammals have four canine teeth each, two on the upper jaw and two on the lower jaw.
