Prof. Dr. Faria Asad is a veterain of dermatology and has been practicing as a skin specialist in Lahore for many years now. She is also a qualified cosmetologist and is particularly skilled at helping patients achieve their cosmetic goals. Regarded as ‘to the point’ and ‘friendly’ by most of her patients and has worked with some of the finest minds in dermatology in the country such as Dr. Tahir Saeed Haroon, she is incredibly well regarded by both her patients and peers.

Dr. Faria Asad is a very well qualified dermatologist and has an MBBS and is also an official Fellow of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, having passed their rigorous testing process.

Prof. Dr. Faria Asad has over 25 years of experience working as a skin specialist in Lahore. In this time she has worked at Hospitals all over the city. She worked as a professor and consultant at Mayo Hospital/King Edward Medical College and is now working as a consultant at Faisal Hospital and National Hospital and Medical Center.

Activism

While working as a professor, Dr. Faria Asad was also engaged in rigorous research to further the Pakistani medical community’s understanding of dermatology. Within this research, she looked at particular illnesses common in Pakistan such as vitiligo, and how to treat such illnesses with much success. Dr. Asad also looked into the intersection between mental health and skin care, particularly looking at depression and skin conditions. This research is instrumental as more and more people are understanding the scope and importance of mental health and its complex relationship to physical health.

Special Interests

Dr. Faria Asad is a particularly skilled dermatologist and is capable of performing complex cosmetic surgeries as well as simple treatments such as the treatment for acne. Though through her research she has acquired a particularly good understanding of how mental health can impact the skin and vice versa (stress, anxiety, and depression for example). She has also developed a good understanding of how to improve the cosmetics of skin and will be able to help any patient make leaps and bounds in terms of skincare.
