About Prof. Dr. Saleem Akhtar

Prof. Saleem Akhtar graduated from King Edward Medical College Lahore in 1972. He did Diploma in Ophthalmology in 1977 from London. Subsequently he did his post-graduation from Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, UK and Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 1983. He has been Professor and Head of Ophthalmology Department at King Edward Medical University and Akhtar Saeed Medical College. Prof. Saleem has been an active participant in Seminars, Symposia, Workshops, and Congresses at national and international levels and published research articles on the subject. He has authored the book, Basic Ophthalmology which is used as a textbook for the subject. He currently practices at Saleem Eye Clinic, located in Aibak Block, New Garden Town, Lahore.
