Dr. Fahd Aziz Rana is a decorated figure in the field of gastroenterology, often

Qualifications
Dr. Fahd Aziz Rana is an MBBS, MRCP (UK), MRCP Gastroenterology (UK),
CCT Medicine (UK), CCT Gastroenterology (UK) and has Fellowship in Advanced
ERCP / EUS (UK) & European Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
He completed his MBBS from Allama Iqbal Medical College and then moved to
England starting off his medicine training, gaining a membership at the Royal
College of Physicians.
After this, he started his gastroenterology training which spanned over a period of
8 years. He gained Initial endoscopy experience for three years and got certified
by the Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy (JAG), UK.
He then proceeded with his CCT Training and in this period, he worked in
Transplant Hepatology for a year and moved on to achieve a fellowship in the 5
year ERCP Training Program, ultimately completing his specialization in ERCP and
Endoscopic UltraSound.
Experience
Dr. Fahd has an experience ranging over 16 years and is currently practicing as a
Consultant Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and Interventional endoscopist at
Omar Hospital and Cardiac Centre, Jail road, Lahore.
In his journey as a professional, he has embarked upon formal training in
gastroenterology which spanned over 8 years. He spent a year at a Tertiary
Hepatology unit in the UK, working in transplant hepatology. Moreover, he
undertook a further Fellowship in Advanced Pancreatobiliary Medicine, training at
another tertiary unit in ERCP, EUS and Interventional Endoscopy.
His profile is extremely rich and diverse in nature, as he has hands-on experience
in so many different categories of medical services working both in Pakistan and
Internationally.
Activism
Fahd Aziz Rana has contributed a lot in creating awareness related to the rising
figures of gastroenterology and hepatitis patients in Pakistan. He has conducted a
number of researches and is actively involved in the advancement of the
gastroenterology and hepatology treatment methods used in Pakistan.
