About Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amer Latif
I have more than twenty years of post fellowship surgical experience and now I am delivering living donor liver transplantation service at Sheikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute . I want to deliver this service in a purpose built setup where i can produce and train next generation of liver transplant and HPB surgeons so that we can fight with in big problem of people dying with the end stage liver disease.
I am also committed to do research in the field of liver transplantation and help to set up new units in Pakistan for liver surgery and liver transplantation. We have got the level IV programme approved from UHS which is a big achievement to produce new generation of liver transplant surgeons.
Some of my achievement are mentioned below:
205 successful Liver transplants out of them one is Cadaveric and the rest are living donor Liver Transplantation at Sheihk Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute . Lahore.
205 Successful Donor Hepatectomies at Sheikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute . Lahore.
More than 1000 cadaveric liver transplants at St Vincentβs University Hospital Dublin. Ireland.
