Dr Javed Iqbal Khan is a renowned Orthopaedic Surgeon, who specializes in Hip Joint Replacement and Knee Joint Replacement and has been successfully practicing in Lahore for over 25 years. He got premedical education from Forman Christian (FC) College, before going on an MBBS degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore. After graduating from Medical school, he completed an extensive fellowship program at Services hospital, Lahore and was awarded an FCPS degree in orthopaedic surgery.
Dr. Javed has spent years developing his skills by working in the Orthopaedic department of Services hospital Lahore and then as Senior Surgeon and Head of Department at the Pakistan Society for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled (PSRD), the most well-known orthopaedic hospital in Pakistan. Having spent years in medicine in Pakistan and having travelled to numerous countries for medical conferences, he was unsettled and unsatisfied with the lack of quality services tackling orthopaedics in the country. In order to bring the change that he wanted to see, he decided to attend advanced courses and international conferences, becoming an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of joint replacement. His skillset now includes, but is not limited to, Knee Joint Replacement, Hip Joint Replacement, as well as the treatment of Fractures and Trauma, Treatment of Congenital Deformities, such as congenital Hip Dislocation and Congenital Talipes Equinovarus (Deformed feet at Birth), Polio, Cerebral Palsy and Disc Surgery for Low Back Pain. Years of experience have made him one of the well-equipped doctors in Pakistan when it comes to performing Knee and Hip Joint Replacements. He is also a member of multiple medical associations around the globe, such as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS), SICOT, etc., allowing him to keep track of the rapidly progressing world of Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgery.
