How to use Anplag Tablet 90mg?

• Take Anplag Tablet 90mg exactly as prescribed by your cardiologist, usually twice daily
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, with or without food
• Take it along with low dose aspirin unless your doctor advises otherwise
• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, even if you feel fine
• Try to take your doses at the same times each day to maintain steady blood levels

Drug Interactions

• Strong CYP3A4 Inhibitors: Drugs like ketoconazole, clarithromycin, ritonavir and atazanavir raise ticagrelor levels and increase bleeding risk, so this combination should be avoided.
• Strong CYP3A4 Inducers: Rifampin, carbamazepine and phenytoin lower ticagrelor levels and reduce its effectiveness, so this combination should be avoided.
• High Dose Aspirin: Taking more than 100mg of aspirin daily with Anplag reduces its protective effect against heart attack and stroke.
• Simvastatin or Lovastatin: Doses above 40mg raise the risk of muscle related side effects when combined with ticagrelor.
• Other Blood Thinners: Combining with warfarin, heparin, NSAIDs or other antiplatelet drugs significantly raises the risk of serious bleeding.
