How to use Azit Capsule 250mg?

• Take on an empty stomach, one hour before or two hours after a meal, unless the doctor advises otherwise
• Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water
• Take the dose at the same time each day for the number of days prescribed
• Complete the full course even if symptoms improve after one or two days
• Do not double the dose if a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it is nearly time for the next dose

Drug Interactions

• Antacids: Aluminum or magnesium containing antacids can reduce absorption if taken at the same time, so a two hour gap is advised
• Warfarin: May increase the blood thinning effect, raising the risk of bleeding
• Digoxin: Can raise digoxin levels in the blood, increasing the risk of toxicity
• Ergot Derivatives: Combined use may cause severe ergot toxicity and should be avoided
• Statins: May increase the risk of muscle related side effects when combined with certain cholesterol lowering drugs
