How to use Brimonidine Tartrate drops?

• Instil one drop into the affected eye or eyes as prescribed, usually two to three times daily.
• Wash hands and avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye.
• Press gently on the inner corner of the eye for a minute after use.
• Remove contact lenses first and wait before reinserting.
• Use every day at the prescribed times to keep pressure controlled.

Drug Interactions

Brimonidine can interact with medicines that affect the nervous system and blood pressure.

• Sedatives, alcohol and sleep medicines: Add to drowsiness.
• Blood pressure and heart medicines: May add to blood pressure lowering effects.
• Certain antidepressants (MAO inhibitors): Should not be combined.
• Other eye drops: Separate different drops by about five minutes.
