How to use Cefyl-p syrup 125 mg?

• Shake the bottle well before each dose.
• Measure the dose with the provided measuring device.
• Give twice daily with food, or as prescribed by the doctor.
• Complete the full course even if the child feels better.
• Discard any leftover reconstituted syrup after the advised period.

Drug Interactions

Cefpodoxime absorption and effect can be changed by a few medicines.

• Antacids and acid reducers: Reduce cefpodoxime absorption; separate the doses.
• Probenecid: Raises cefpodoxime levels by slowing its removal.
• Blood thinners: May increase the blood thinning effect.
• Live typhoid vaccine: Antibiotics can reduce its effect.

Risks and warnings

• Penicillin allergy: Use with caution if allergic to penicillins or cephalosporins.
• Severe diarrhea: Report persistent diarrhea, which may signal a gut infection.
• Kidney function: Dose may need adjustment in reduced kidney function.
