Clenil Comp is a nebulised combination of an inhaled steroid and a bronchodilator used to help treat asthma and COPD.

- Asthma, where both airway swelling and tight airways need treatment
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) with an asthma component
- Beclometasone reduces airway inflammation, and salbutamol relaxes the airway muscles
- May ease wheeze, cough and chest tightness, under medical supervision
- Not meant as a rescue medicine for sudden severe attacks

How to use Clenil Comp For Aerosol Nebulizer Solution 8mg / 6mg / 2ml?
- The nebuliser should be shaken well before it is opened
- The contents are squeezed into the nebuliser cup and inhaled through a mask or mouthpiece
- The liquid is for inhalation only and must not be swallowed
- The mouth should be rinsed with water and spat out after each use
- An opened half dose may be kept in the fridge and used within 12 hours
Contraindications
- Should not be used by patients allergic to beclometasone, salbutamol, or any ingredient
- Should not be used with untreated tuberculosis, or fungal or viral infections of the airways
- Should not be used by patients with serious fast or irregular heart rhythms, unless a doctor advises
- Should not be used in pregnancy or breastfeeding, unless the doctor judges the benefit is greater
Risks and warnings
- Use with caution: If you have heart disease, high blood pressure, or diabetes, as salbutamol may worsen them
- Report chest pain: as it may signal a heart problem and needs prompt medical review
- Rinse your mouth after each dose: as the steroid may cause thrush in the mouth and throat
- Tell your doctor about other medicines: as beta blockers may block salbutamol, and diuretics may lower blood potassium
- Seek help if breathing worsens after a dose: as wheeze may sometimes get worse instead of better
- Avoid caffeine in large amounts: as it may add to tremor and a fast heartbeat
- Do not exceed the prescribed dose: as an overdose may cause a racing heartbeat, tremor, or low potassium

- Mild tremor of the hands
- Fast or pounding heartbeat
- Headache, nervousness or throat irritation
- Thrush in the mouth or throat
- Rare wheezing or tighter breathing right after the dose
- Rare allergic signs such as rash or swelling of the face or lips
- Rare irregular heartbeat or chest pain, needing urgent medical help
Storage Conditions
- Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C
- Protect from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture
- Keep nebules in the original foil pouch until use
- Keep out of reach of children
