Dizet Tablet Uses

• Take the tablet at the same time each day

Drug Interactions

• Alcohol: Causes a severe reaction with flushing, vomiting, and rapid heartbeat when combined with Metronidazole.
• Warfarin: Metronidazole can increase the blood thinning effect and raise bleeding risk.
• Lithium: Metronidazole can raise lithium levels in the blood to an unsafe range.
• Phenytoin and Phenobarbital: These seizure medicines can lower the effectiveness of Metronidazole.

Risks and warnings

• Alcohol Interaction: Drinking alcohol with Metronidazole can cause severe nausea, flushing, and a fast heartbeat.
• Pregnancy: Avoid Dizet in the first trimester of pregnancy unless a doctor confirms it is necessary.
