How to use Geonic tablet 70mg?
- One tablet is taken exactly once every week, on the same day each week
- This tablet is never taken daily, only weekly, so the same weekly day should be kept as a reminder
- The tablet is swallowed first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, with a full glass of plain water
- An upright, sitting or standing position needs to be kept for at least thirty minutes after the dose
- No food, other tablets, coffee or juice should be taken during this thirty minute wait
- A missed weekly dose is taken the next morning it is remembered, then the normal weekly day continues from there, never two doses close together
Drug Interactions
- Calcium Supplements: Reduce absorption of this tablet if taken too close to the weekly dose
- Antacids: Lower how much Alendronate is absorbed when taken in the same window
