About Geozit Capsule 250mg
A macrolide antibiotic capsule used to treat common bacterial infections.
Geozit Capsule Uses
- Treats respiratory infections like bronchitis, pneumonia and sinusitis
- Clears throat infections including tonsillitis and pharyngitis
- Manages typhoid fever, common across Pakistan during summer months
- Treats skin and soft tissue infections
- Used for certain sexually transmitted infections like chlamydia
Geozit Capsule Benefits
- Short 3 to 5 day course improves treatment compliance
- Once daily dosing makes it easier to complete the full course
- Works against a wide range of common bacteria
Physicians in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Rawalpindi frequently prescribe Geozit for typhoid and respiratory infections, both common in Pakistan's hot and humid climate.
Azithromycin stops bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow. This halts the infection so the body's immune system can clear it.
Patients should complete the full course, even after symptoms improve. An early stop can let resistant bacteria survive and spread.
