What Experts Say
Doctors across Pakistan prescribe cefaclor capsules like Kilbac for common bacterial infections of the throat, ears, sinuses, and urinary tract. As a second generation cephalosporin, it works by stopping bacteria from building their protective cell wall, which eventually kills the germs causing the infection.
Physicians stress finishing the entire course, even after symptoms improve. Pakistan has seen rising antibiotic resistance due to incomplete courses and self medication, and stopping early lets surviving bacteria multiply again. This can make the next infection harder to treat with the same medicine.
Cefaclor is generally well tolerated, though doctors ask patients with a history of penicillin allergy to mention it before starting treatment. Pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and patients with kidney disease should only use this capsule after a proper medical evaluation.
