How to use Lexof tablet 500mg?

Take one tablet once daily, at the same time each day.
Swallow with a full glass of water, with or without food.
Avoid antacids, calcium, or iron supplements within two hours of a dose.
Complete the full course even if symptoms improve early.

Drug Interactions

Levofloxacin interacts with several common medicines and supplements.

Antacids, calcium, iron, or zinc: Reduce levofloxacin absorption significantly if taken together.
Warfarin: Can increase bleeding risk by raising warfarin's effect.
NSAIDs: Combining raises the risk of seizures.
Corticosteroids: Increases the risk of tendon rupture, especially in older adults.

Risks and warnings

Tendon injury: Stop the medicine and seek care if tendon pain, swelling, or a snapping sensation occurs.
Nerve symptoms: Tingling, numbness, or burning pain can signal peripheral neuropathy.
Heart rhythm: Use with caution in people with a history of irregular heartbeat.
