What Experts Say
Paracetamol suspension remains one of the most trusted fever and pain relief options recommended by pediatricians and general physicians in Pakistan. Its liquid form makes it easier to give to infants and young children who cannot swallow tablets, and doctors often recommend it as a first line option for fever after vaccination or common childhood infections.
Health experts caution that paracetamol works best when the correct weight based dose is used, since overdosing can strain the liver. Parents are usually advised to use the measuring syringe provided with the bottle rather than a household spoon, and to space doses at least four to six hours apart.
According to pharmacists, this suspension is considered safe for short term use when directions are followed, but it should not replace medical evaluation if fever persists beyond three days or crosses 102 F in a child. Physicians recommend consulting a doctor if pain or fever does not improve after using this medicine as directed.
