How to use Rubifer tablet 100mg / 0.35mg?

• Take Rubifer as advised by your doctor or the pack.
• If it upsets the stomach, take it with a light meal.
• Avoid tea, coffee, milk and antacids for two hours around the dose, since they reduce iron absorption.
• Dark or black stools are expected and are not harmful.

Drug Interactions

• Antacids and calcium: They reduce iron absorption, so keep about two hours between doses.
• Tetracycline and quinolone antibiotics: Iron binds to antibiotics such as doxycycline or ciprofloxacin and lowers their effect, so space the doses.
• Levothyroxine: Iron can reduce its absorption, so take them at least four hours apart.
