Zetro is an antibiotic medication that is used to treat various bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, skin infections, typhoid, sinusitis, and otitis media, etc. It contains Azithromycin, which is a type of macrolide antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Mostly, macrolide antibiotics are given if the bacteria are resistant to penicillin antibiotics. However, since antibiotics are only effective against bacterial infections, it is not advised to use Zetro for the treatment of viral infections.
