Anemic Diet

Aoa.my son 10 years old is anemic. I'm giving him iron syrup as well as milk. Can someone please tell me why it is said to give milk only one time in a day while I'm giving him milk 2 times daily. and it takes how much time to meet the required HB level. It would be great if you can tell me a diet plan for it.

Dear Patient,

1 glass of milk is a basic requirement to meet the demand for calcium
If you give more milk its possible that child fulfills its calories with milk and doesn't eat food which is must to give other nutritional supplies.

Hence its wise to gove egg and bread for breakfast with butter or cheese.
Roti and salan with meat and veggies for lunch and dinner.
Fruits and milk at snack time.
Continue iron syrup it will also boost appetite and immunity.
Normal hb levels range between 11 to 13.
