Baby Fever

My 1 yr 18 mon old daughter had a chest infection. Her temperature increased up to 100.9°F since 3days. But today it decreased to 96-97. I continued fever syrups with different time of period. She's taking antibiotic syrup ( Cephim). Today I checked it came to 96.4°F Is it fine? Shouldn't I stop giving her fever syrups?

Dear Patient,

Yes. Once the fever and pain stop you can give the fever syrup after longer gaps or stop it altogether. You must finish the course of antibiotics though. After stopping fever medicine if you feel her chest pain is there or she still has a fever then you can give a few doses of the medicine again.
