Baby has Diarrhea

My baby is 6 months old. For the past couple of days, he is suffering from diarrhea five to seven times a day. His gums are also hard and red, may be teething. Currently he is on antibiotics, multivitamins and some medicines for diarrhea.What to do? I would be grateful for your advice

Dear Patient,

Starting such a small child on antibiotics is strongly discouraged. Since you have started and probably even finished the course by the time this message reaches you, plz be advised for the future to not unnecessarily give antibiotics. Give the child diet rich in cooked apple, rice, banana, sagoodana, homemade yogurt, ispaghol, bread(double roti). Avoid foods that inc diarrhea. Boil his bottles and bowls and water before giving him each time. Good luck
