Baby not speaking

Asked for Male, 8 years

My baby is 2 years old he does not speak at all.even does not say mama Baba. Whenever he is in good mood repeats the word mama by following me. What's the reason behind this situation? He speaks something in his own language which is nonsense no word is understandable. Kindly tell me what should I do. And my baby is in good health.

Dear Patient,

Does she watch the screen too often? Have you tried taking her to a playgroup or a place with more kids where she can play and interact? If the baby is able to repeat some words or sounds after you then there is no developmental delay most probably. However, there is no harm in asking a specialist for a second opinion.
Try cutting down on screen time. Read books to her which have first baby words and try making her repeat. Do this persistently and keep trying.
